Playing against long pimples can be a frustrating experience for many players. The ball seems to behave in a strange way – popping up high or shooting down into the net.
In this video, I explain how to understand long pimples better. I do this by demonstrating a simple exercise you can do with a long pimples player.
If you do this exercise a few times you will have a much better idea on how the spin changes. This will give you much more confidence when you face a long pimples player.

Great video in theory but it’s a problem for defenders who don’t have topspin in their games to play against long pimples.

I enjoyed the video, but as injuries and age have forced me to use long pips these days, I would love to see a video showig how to use them not just how to beat them. There seem to be lots and lots of videos out there explaining how long pips can be beaten but very very few showing how a long pips player can use the combination to win points and games.
